Broken Tile & Mosaic Projects

Broken tile and glass bead flower vase - (Born out of necessity because the cats broke my original vase).

Here is a variety of projects made with broken bits of tile, mirror, glass beads, mosaic glass tiles, found objects, shells, etc.

The sky is the limit when making this type of project, since a lot of things can be embedded and integrated into the mastic/mortar as the pieces are assembled.

Some of these projects can be left outdoors.  They have been made with a special kind of substrate, as well as a special kind of mortar and grout, that will withstand the outdoor elements, and prevent cracks in the tile and grout.
